CREUSER LE MAL is a fantastic two-hand project by PALEFROI composed of 6 pairs of super-limited edition sheets of 40 copies on 35x45cm paper. The series reflects on the acts of seeing and drawing, collectively and individually. Each sheet pair presents two figures. Giving shape to a dazzling exercise on people who have visions (Figure 1) and the vision itself (Figure 2).
Figure 1 is based on a sketch by Damien Tran but redesigned by Marion Jdanoff while Figure 2 is completely by Damien Tran. As they themselves comment at the end of the series, they realized that CREUSER LE MAL was actually talking about their working relationship, hence the titles of each film.
Marion Jdanoff & Damien Tran are PALEFROI. French artistic couple settled for years in Berlin. His fantastic project covers both the self-publishing of books and the silkscreen printing of art prints. His language as a duo is a dazzling cross between their respective worlds, one is formal and abstract and the other narrative and figurative. This explosive and talented mix is the creator of serigraphs of an unmistakable style and an exquisite taste.
